Meteor Log Hotel is a fantastic Canadian style log house well located near all the bars and restaurants in Echoland. It has just 7 rooms, accommodating maximum 24 people (you can book out the whole log house for just ¥100,000/night for up to 14 people, for ¥125,000/night for between 15 and 19 people and for ¥147,000/night for between 20 and 24 people. All rooms have their own private bathroom, TV,DVD and wireless internet access. There is also a spacious communal living area with sofas, TV as well as a guest kitchen (complete with dishwasher!) and dining area. You can walk down the street to Echoland hot springs, and there is a courtesy bus down to the supermarket and from Happo bus/train station. Breakfast is not included in the price, but for just ¥500 you get toast,corn flakes and coffee/tea/juice, and for an extra ¥500 a plate of sausages,eggs and salad will be included (order at reception). Shuttle buses to the ski resorts leave from just outside the lodge.
