Iwatake is not the highest ski resort in Hakuba in terms of altitude, but it is still very popular. This might be because of the great terrain park, or it might be that despite it's relatively large size, it attracts no where near the numbers that for example Happo does. Most of the terrain is intermediate and will suit most people. The one drawback would be that early and late season it can be a bit sketchy for snow , because of it's altitude.
