Tsugaike is a very large resort and is especially good for beginners and intermediates. The beginners area at the base of the resort is so big it is actually bigger in size than the whole of many other ski resorts. Up top, there are steeper runs suiting intermediates, but it lacks the mogul runs and steep runs of some of the other resorts. It is usually less crowded than the other major ski resorts being a little further away from the action.
