Happo One is the king of all ski resorts in Hakuba. During the 1998 Winter Olymics no less than 5 events were held there including the cross country, downhill events and ski jump. It has about 1,000 metres of vertical from top to bottom which is one of the highest in Japan-and has amazing views from the top of the grand Northern Japan Alps including Mt Hakuba. For the advanced skier or boarder it has you covered; ungroomed powder runs, tree runs, steeps and a great terrain park. Beginners are also catered for at the Sakka area, but really it will suit ntermediate or advanced riders more. As a result of the bubble ear it has a lot more lifts than it needs so except for holiday periods you rarely have to wait in queues.
