Tomamu Ski Resort is will appeal to riders looking for off piste tree runs without having to jostle with lots of other foreigners for first tracks. Being owned by a hotel chain, it targets Japanese families and couples and the hotel itself is truly a sight to behold with a set of twin tower skyscrapers complete with a wave pool! You won’t see many other foreigners there fullstop. However, the resort is forward thinking and allows people to go off piste at will (you just need to register first and get a bib) and the trees are very well spaced.
