Kashimayari Ski Resort

Hakuba, Japan

Kashimayari is a medium to large sized ski resort and is the first one you will see coming to Hakuba on your left hand side. It is also one of the least crowded resorts as most Japanese people tend to bypass it on the way to Hakuba proper. Like any of the resorts that are not in Hakuba itself, if you get there during the week you will find you will have the whole resort nearly to yourself. It hass a good range of courses including some very challenging steep ones and also has some great views of the Northern Japan Alps and Kashimayari peak itself is perhaps the photogenic in the whole range. It also has a couple of designated tree runs where you won’t have to fight for first tracks.
